Join us for an engaging and hands-on Intro to Composting Workshop at Meiners Oaks Community Garden, hosted in collaboration with Nicole from SB Garden Project!

Whether you're a beginner or just looking to refresh your composting knowledge, this workshop will cover the basics of turning food scraps and garden waste into rich, nutrient-dense soil for your garden. Learn the science behind composting, what materials to include (and avoid), and how to maintain a healthy compost system — all while reducing waste and supporting the environment.

We’ll also dive into different composting methods — from traditional bins to worm composting — so you can find the best fit for your home or garden setup.

Cost $20 for members, $35 for public.

The garden is located in the Meiners Oaks neighborhood of Ojai. Parking is limited. Please consider carpooling, biking or walking and be mindful when parking as not block mailboxes or driveways.

We love your pets but unfortunately, they are not allowed in the garden or to be tied up in front.
